My dad got a gift box from my church’s band members! It came with gift cards to Starbucks Coffee, Chilis, a Visa, Ablertsons and an Edwards Cinemas. I think it also came with muffins! The muffins were good! I had one for breakfast! My mom also has the gift cards planned out.

One day when my mom is asleep my dad will take us out to a movie and then to Chilis. My mom also said that my dad can use the Starbucks Coffee card whenever. The visa one I don’t know what they’re doing with it. The Albertsons one is when we need things from there.

My mom is on top of things even though to day was her first chemo. O yeah I forgot to write about that. Today is my mom’s first chemo. She has been gone since 8am. I’ve been checking up on her and she is fine. She’s a fighter! Okay well I better do my chores now! Bye-a!

God said in the Bible that the desires of your heart will sometimes be accomplished.

I was just telling my mom a few days ago that I would LOVE to go to a resturant. The next thing you know, today we got an envelope to the resturant BJ’S! God heard my desire and accomplished it! My family has decided to go to BJ’S Monday night at 5pm for dinner! Thank you our Secret “Angels”

About 3-4 years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was pretty hard on my family because we didn’t know what to expect. It took 8 cycles of chemo (chemotherapy) and then radiation after that. Before the chemo and radiation my mom had 3 surgeries. From the chemo my mom had terrible side effects including: metal taste in her mouth, heat flashes, forgets things easily (chemo brain), hair loss, and gained 20 pounds. I think there was more side effects, but at this moment I can’t remember. Then every year since she was diagnosed she had to have tests to see if her cancer spread.

When she got her tests results this year they found spots on her lung. The doctor said they should do a biopsy to check if it was cancer.  The first attempt to do the biopsy didn’t work for some reason (I was at a musical rehearsal and don’t know why.). They did the actual biopsy about 1-2 weeks ago. The doctor said the spots were nothing he has ever seen before. The spots were glowing! The doctor was suppose to call with the results on July 3rd. Instead the nurse called in the morning and told her to meet him. My mom saw the doctor.

The doctor came in with good news! He said that the breast cancer didn’t spread! Then came the bad news. He said my mom has LUNG CANCER! The kind of lung cancer my mom has is aggressive. It sounds bad, but isn’t that bad. It starts aggressive, but it also dies as aggressive as it started. The really good thing is that they caught it at an early stage of the cancer! The doctor then told her that the earlier they start her treatments the better. (This kind of cancer you need 6 cycles of chemo. 3 days in a row in 1 week, then 2 weeks off. If radiation needed I think they do it with the chemo.) My mom told him that she couldn’t do it the week of July 6th-12th, because of it’s my tech week and dress rehearsal for my Willy Wonka Jr. play. (I star as Veruca Salt. ((the brat)) I LOVE MY MOM!) So she starts her chemo on July 15th.

Personally I think my mom got the cancer because Satan is still trying to test our family to see if no matter what we will love God. SORRY SATAN, BUT WE WILL NEVER FALL FOR YOUR TRICK!! WE ARE A TOUGH FAMILY!! If Satan doesn’t give you tough trails to go be scared. That means Satan isn’t worried that you will follow God and not him. My Great Grandma Sam used to say that.
